bit of a longshot really,but here goes...i ordered some parts from america a month ago,and was wondering if anyone knew this firm.my father got a call from courier company yesterday as they checked phone book and phoned him asking did he know me as they have parcel with just my name and town on it(rest is unreadable)im x directory so they couldnt find me in phone book.anyway,they gave him a contact number but its not recognised when i dial,and i cant find them after numerous searches...its frustrating as i just want my parts...anyway the company is R+D COURIERS and number given is 01702 939746 which is southend number but they told my father they were in bournemouth!.....please help if you have heard of them

Only reference I have found to an R & D couriers is for one in in Milton Keynes - its to do with liquidation but it is well out of date http://www.creditman.co.uk/news/1806.html under 'Forthcoming Creditors Meetings' 20/06/2000, in the 'Insolvency News' section....

bournemouth area code is 01202 which could be mis-read as 01702... 939746

 

Just tried a BT search in bournemouth, and southend (where 01702 is) and not found anything!
Still trying though!

Can't you contact the US firm and ask them who they use as a courier once it gets to the UK?

This does not list R&D but you could see if any of these have heard of them in the area.

Thanks for the help lads,but ive tried most of the things you mentioned above and came out with same results.was hoping as there is lots of members on here that someone might actually know them and get contact details...this whole episode has been a nightmare,but you live and learn...i purchased a new graphics card from ebay at begining of may off a company in usa as it was £100 cheaper than here..the guy had good feedback...it arrived 3 wks later and when installed it was faulty so i had to send it back at my cost,i asked him to let me know when he recieved but he didnt mail me then or when he sent a new one,so this graphics card will probally float about in this country for a couple of weeks and then get sent back...im not happy as it will be 3 months before i get it ,if i do that is...and wished i paid the £400 in my local computer store now
