£13K P/X for my old MY00 (X reg) 38K miles and £19995 + £1600 for the car, I thought this was a great deal.

And they've sold my old car for over £13K, so everyones happy.

£13k for a MY00? That's a pretty amazing trade-in price. I reckoned my MY00 (52k miles, PPP, 17" wheels) was worth £10k tops. Where from?

But the MY03 WRX isn't selling as well as the STI... so the discount on the new car is simply transferred to the part-ex.

Still sounds a good deal, though.

Andy,

Everyone on Scoobynet told me my car was worth only £10K, but for some reason the people on here talk the price of their cars down, not sure why. There are buyers willing to pay top money from dealers, for 2-3 year cars, guess it's the comfort factor of getting a years warranty etc.

Bought the car locally, see From:

"for some reason the people on here talk the price of their cars down"

I said the very same thing in a Saab 9-3 thread earlier this evening. Why they hell they do it I've no idea. Folk should stop talking out of their @rses and get down to a dealer to see what cars are really worth to them. To many people whinging on and too few actually buying and selling Scoobs to know what the real market's like out there...

Cheers and enjoy your car.

Mike

Agreed, I was offered £11500 for my 45k MY00 without the dealer seeing it against a WRXIII.

Didn't take it as I'm after an S2000. Couldn't even get any offers on here

Too many who already own, plus the usual "tyres kickers" Neil...

Cheers
