Question

Who's using the knock link unit? Is it any good for tuned engines??

I expect it would of been better to have it installed when std, then notice the noise levels with the tuning stages...

I would say its essential for tuned engines, the sooner you fit it the sooner you will have an indication of any det occuring, take your point regarding fitting b4 each mod is fitted to establish what limit you can reach, prob biggest upest is induction kit though.

Cheers Andy.

I've heard they flash too much anyway...as they can pick up noise from gearbox etc. I'll get one anyway.

Are they easy to install? Power, plus cable to engine block? Also, under intercooler best location?

pretty easy to fit (eh chris best way is deffo remove intercooler though, if you drop the bolt with the intercooler on its a nightmare to get it back, position, have a look here for positioning, as for wiring, on my STi we just pulled the cover of were the fog switches should sit & tapped into 1 of the spare looms for a live, if youre car has aircon go through the passenger side floorpan were the aircon rubber pipe pops through (thx Toby 4 that 1 )to avoid running it near the downpipe
