Can remember reading once there was no optimax sold in Scotland but can`t remember how long ago it was when i read it. Is this still the case? Was it even true? going to see John Banks in July so wanna be 'prepared'

Depend where you are going! can get it fine aound Glasgow/Edinburgh type areas but go north from there and even SUL is hard to find I resorted to carrying lots of octane booster and a jerry can when I went up last month. You can always check out the shell website as there is a search function on there and one of the parameters is optimax.

It's everywhere up in Scotland bar the most remote of areas. I had more trouble finding Optimax in England than I do up here. M6/M5/M3 dont seem to have many Shell petrol stations.

I got optimax in crieff last weekend. if you can get it in crieff, then you can get it anywhere! it is worth filling up when you see it though.

LOL - "no optimax in Scotland" Tell me you arent half American. Next thing you'll be asking is if the roads are tarmaced up here. Pulling yer leg mate - its amazing where you can find the stuff!!

 

Guess what when you do find optimax you can even pay for it with your english pounds !!
Only taking the pis* you will find SUL in most garages and optimax is readily available.
