If you want pops and bangs you will probably need to replace both cats and probably fit a vent to atmos dump valve.
Ive got a full decat but with out the dump valve and it some times pops but not very often.
If your going to replace just one cat then do the downpipe the turbo will spool quicker and give the greatist power gains but as i said it probably wont pop with the other cat still there.

confused now. . lol
i always thought that replacing the downpipe cat would give better sound,,, then i read on here that the centre section would be best
now im told BOTH or if i got 2 do 1 then the front.
im not 2 fussed about more horses but i want it 2 sound EVEN better
i can get a magnex straight thru centre section 4a little over 50 quid
will this be worth doing ?
cheers again lol

How is it possible I get bangs with ALL cats on?
I have an Apex'i induction kit with the STI backbox (not the standard one fitted to STI's or P1's) and get loud bangs when decelerating, needle goes to 3-3300 rpm, if I just biip the pedal it bangs so loud that I sometimes scare myself when I have the window open....

How is that possible with cats?

I've got a Scoobysport C/Section and Backbox, standard DV, and mine pops every now and again, usually after a long, hard drive
