Seen a few Imprezas in the classifieds here with 80k+ miles, and some with 100k+ but all have good service historys.

Mercs, VW's and BMW's are renound for going on and on for many miles.

Just wondering what the opinion is with Imprezas??

Anybody able to shed some light on this?

UK cars with FSH are "usually" pretty sound, often these have been company cars too, so plenty of money spent

100K is nothing.

remeber alot of these are in KMH. my car was imported in 99 and up till then was showing KMH, so where mine says 100K, its nearer to 70K

Agreed (selling mine with 118k on ).

Seriously though - the build on Scoobies is really very good. The drivetrain, transmission etc are very strong as are the engines so if they are well serviced there is nothing to stop them from going on double those miles at all.

Turbos (and of course clutches) are the things that could tire with age. Saying that, my car had new Turbo and short engine at 80k after the dealer forgot to put in some of that oil stuff that cars generally need

No wonder it still drives so well!

I must be a lucky beggar

My STi3 had 90k kilometers when I bought it with no history whatsoever
I have had another 30k miles of problem free since then. I have had the car serviced regularly at Scoobysport. I've only ever replaced the normal consumables.

Just to say, you don't need a FSH to have a tidy scoob that will run for miles.

I was at a Scooby dealership last week. Just about any scooby made in the last few years should be able to last 20+ years as long as its taken care of. Mine's got 70,000 miles on it. And I see 80's subaru's w/ a lot more miles on them on a regular basis.
