Thumbs up

Went to Santa Pod today, weather was cracking apart from a little rain at the end.
Went in my UK96 red, with full de-cat and my mate was in his MY97 uk, dark green with full de-cat.
I took mine on and was a little pi55ed off as i only managed a 14.3 don't know if it was just to hot or maybe that is an ok time for a uk impreza, ah well must go faster next time any tips on afew mods that don't cost the earth? mine is the pre-fecelift engine.
Any one else go down, and how did you do.
I think i saw Peccy there.

Alright matey
I took my MY98 scooby (was standard at the time) to santa pod in feb and it did runs of 14.42 all day long. I have a book bout scoobies that says it should do 14.2 so i wasn't that dissapointed hoping to do a little better next time

Nice one m8, mine sounds about right then. It did get a bit slower as the day got hotter and then was back to 14.3's at the end.
My mates scooby has the same mods, he didn't take it on the strip but on the way there and back he seemed to get the better of me more times than i did him.
Any ideas anyone?

Alot of people list silly 1/4 times for a standard scoob.
IMO a 14sec quarter is about right for a reasonable standard UK.

I have run my modded Type R a few times at the pod and managed 13.02s running (310bhp/310lbft)

Harvey has around 450+bhp in his V6 Wagon and hits the quarter in around 12.2ish

Hope this helps.
