let me put this into prospective
an rst with double the horsepower it was designed for (ie highly modified) v a scoob with accessories (ie not modified beyond manufacturers specifications).
Point being, if the scoob was modified to the same level as the rst then the scoob would have slaughtered said rst.... fact.
Scoob was of standard specification (inc accessories) ie not 300bhp which some people think the UK 300 is (it actually means 300 run of a Prodrive car and not the "300bhp").
so you have 260bhp v either a 245bhp scoob or a 215bhp scoob.... not really an amazing feat that you outpaced it?? as it has less bhp and more weight?

I did post of the previous page that an MY01 WRX would have to have at least 245bhp to run a low 14. Taking into account the weather and the fact you have run a 13.8 I well can believe that the car has 260-270bhp.
I just cant believe people take it so seriously, its like RR results just treat it as a day out and a bit of fun.
Why do people have to sour things, its like this after a trackday.
As I said before they are both very respectable times and congrats to both.

looked like the driver of the escort has a good reaction time- deffo off the mark quicker.
Also looks like a bit of gamesmanship keeping the Impreza waiting to the last minute- psyche out!
The escort is fast car that looks like a cheap and nasty max power special, still a good effort.

And what is that supposed to prove eh? There was some dude selling a tuned Mini on here a few weeks back that would have toasted both of those cars.

Most scoobs running between 280 and 300, will comfortably do 13.5 or better. They would certainly be doing approx 102~105 over the line.
Given your weight advantage too, then you would imagine it to be close call at anything well under 300bhp on a scoob.
You would have to be a good .6 seconds or more quicker than that to get near mine, which is running between 330 and 350.
As the others say, well done, but you can not polish a turd, i am more impressed you managed to get it to the line, the start line that is

The scoob you went against, looks like a MY01, which is a bit heavier than a classic scoob. I ran against a fairly standard (apprx 240bhp) at Elvington 2 months back, and i think he ran a 14.3 and just over 100 across the line.
So it would suggest he fluffed up somewhere along the line, ie fluffed a gearchange, or is just completely telling porkies re horsepower.
Do you know its 300 for sure? did the driver say? or are you just guessing.

Most talk like Scooby's are the fastest cars since sliced bread.
Look at it for what it is, an escort beating a Scooby, nothing more, nothing less.
We don't know the spec of the Escort and it might not look as good as the Scoob, but it was quicker.

Not sure what power it was just what someone said so i dunno,he was runnin low 14's all day as was his m8 in a lancer thats why i was curious about the power of this model.
He had me to half way defo but thats the 4x4 i guess ,still must be loads heavyier than my 900 kg.

The bug eyes (what that model is known by) weighs in at over 1400kg IIRC, may be wrong, but i know its quite a bit more than the classic shape scoob, which is about 1280kg.
So he weighs almost half as much again as you.
If running low 14's all day, then i would guess it is probably running in the 240 250 region IMO.
300 and you would have know, as it would definatley been mid 13's.

Its a team norris motorsport car 260 bhp 220 wheels
top speed was at brunters 154.3 and its still 1.6
Its was a qualifier for the north v south final so it didnt matter if i beat the other driver or not just on times so it wasnt as if i was lookin for a race but if 1 comes well............... :-)
