Talking

I'm new to the whole Scooby thing, but I'm picking up my new '03 WRX tomorrow. I'm like an excited kid on Chistmas eve! Looking forward to having more power than in my Clio 172.

Wink

lol.....i've owned mine now for 6 weeks and the grin is starting to hurt my face...lol.
Take it nice and easy when running in and gently start to up the revs every 100 miles or so after that.

Feel a little sorry for you though as the car doesnt feel properly quick 'till you rev her round to at least 5k....and then you can really scare yourself !!!! seriously the car really does fly round bends....

As for your 1st mods, I'd 100% recommend getting the side sills colour coded (makes the car look more finished and wider) and a decent set of thick, colourcoded Autostyle mats.

After that PPP it and your laughing !

Ricky mate i hope you arent disappointed. I had two 172's and they would both give a WRX a real hard time up to 120 odd. Reckon you need an STI to blow your old car away

Integrale .,,,,,,,,

i agree with you about the PPP bit. Not so sure about the birds motor bit. Dont you just hate it when a BIRDS MOTOR flashes you out of the way when you are already giving ten tenths

integrale, I already got the skirts coded, it was one of my conditions of buing the car! Think this car is going to be a hell of a lot harder to modify than the 172, though. You guys seem to have different views on every mod! It was wierd, the impreza was on my shortlist of new cars, but as soon as I drove one, I just had to have one!

Oh, yeah, and the STI wasn't an option! I'm 23, and the insurance gave me a bit of a stinger on the WRX!

same here, it wasnt top of my list of cars till i drove one. I actually went out to get a 2 or 3 year old 325 or 330 BMW and ended up with a Scooby !?
I tend to do a few business miles and occasionally need to use it as a 2nd family car if my Amazon is off the road so it fits the bill. Plus once i get the TSL suspension stuff i'll doing 5 or 6 track days per year....in all it's a proper all rounder. (and far, far, far better than anything french...lol)
