My boss bought a Porsche 996 convertible from eBay in the States for $60,000!!! Had to fly from Atlanta Georgia to Austin Texas to pay the guy and pick the car up. He'd never even laid eyes on it before then. All seems to be above board and everything checked out. Dunno how this would translate into buying a motor in the UK though.

Yeah - the guy with the 22B = if you read his profile his business is selling cars on e-bay. I wonder how much turnover he has...

I would only buy if the seller has good feedback. eBay is a great way to shop, and I've never had a problem. Yahoo on the other hand, don't get me started

There are some fine deals to be found outside ebay. When I was looking at scoobys 2 years ago I found a p plate turbo (i think its what you guys call classic style? the one that made the impreza famous anyhow) with 37k on the clock and fsh etc. for £5k

If only id had the sense to buy it and not pursued that stupid v12 dream......

a mate of mine bought a $20K Boxster off Ebay (in the US). --> then the muppet wrote it off two weeks later, he permanently warped the chassis when he hit a speed bump at about 80mph.

that kid has too much money methinks
