Question

A quick question - I've just taken a couple of plugs out of my UK MY02 WRX, the plugs fitted are PFR6G but the manual says PFR6B - does anyone know the difference?

The car has only done 12k miles so the PFR6G plugs must have been fitted at the factory.

Cheers

Edward.

My MY95 WRX had PFR6G's in it, i have just replaced them with PFR6B's and it runs fine... I think the G stands for racing or something like that...

All the turbo Subaru's with the ignition coil directly on the plug, are fitted with the PFR 6 G plug from factory. (Also the WRX from MY01!) The others are supplied with the PFR 6 B.

Caz, the NGK info says that the B is "Special design" and the G is "Fine wire nickel alloy center electrode".

Does anyone know what the actual difference is between to the two designs of electrode?
