The RSOC board has been taken off line and looks as though it may be for some time. Any chance of setting up our own forum like you did for us before. We need somewhere to go or will won't be able to get our fix...

Thank you. You might even consider setting up a proper one (mirror image of Scoobynet, but just RSnet ) on the same basis as Scoobynet, as I think you will find that the RS one might be down for at least six months while things get resolved.

At least we could have some speed...

So imagine what the RSBB must feel like - even a Scooby driver would think it slow...

BH,
Unlike our website, which has no advantages - slow as a slow thing on slow day and about as reliable as 500bhp Scooby...

Question

Mike

I am a fellow RWD RS Cos owner and I have to say, I have just finished reading the historic thread of thirteen pages dating back to just before the millenium.

I suspect you have been asked this a number of times, though I am gonna have to ask, as the thread was cruelly cut off with no sense of closure at all. What exactly was the secret weapon so as to speak, and more importantly, did it work????

PS - If U R still running RS RWD, how is it these days?

Cheers,

JJ

PS - Buying Scooby as boring company car hence presence on site. Scooby WRX as commuter car, RWD RS Cos as fun weekend car!! LOL

Bluto,
As has been mentioned, we are lucky enough to have both. However, please note that the man of the house has a Cossie and the woman a Subaru - says it all really - Scooby = slow shopping car.
LOL

JJ,
Please elaborate, as this was SOOOOO long ago.

Mike,

This was just after you welded the diff up for great improvements. I was guessing it was some form of launch control, though as you say this was some time ago. As a fellow RWD Nut, I am very keen to get your thoughts on the matter, though must admit, I am a little behind the game at the mo (had a few teething problems involving big end bearings!!!!!!!!! DOH)

Let me know - - - I need closure. It was around the time that you were dueling with Stef (Stephen i think?)

Cheers matey.

PS - The reason the Subaru is so good, is that it has a very good boot, and the 4WD allows you to park in fields. It is the only ssensible choice!!! !!! !!!

Three Subaru owners in a forest when they stumble onto some tracks. The first says " ah yes, these are bear tracks". The second says " no, these are Deer tracks", the last one says "no, you are both wrong, they are fox tracks", then the train hits them!!!!!! LOL Got to laugh

Cheers

JJ

I had a boost inhibitor in first gear connected to a micro-switch to try and reduce the amount of wheelspin. In the end it was better to keep it in high boost and practice launching. Got it down to a 12.64 @ 115mph.

The car then got seriously upgraded to 515bhp, Quaife ATB and did 180.9mph at Brunters...

Daz,
Just what Kel told me...

Cheers mate, I was curious. That is a V good time for the standing 1/4 all the way round.

Fair play - sometimes practice makes perfect, though a friend of mine has had this launch control fitted to his supra, and bangs on about it all the time!

Thanks for letting us know. Car sounds awsome. Is it still alive? and if so, do u still run it much?

Cheers,

JJ
