Angry

I've got the car apart now to change the cambelt. I lined up the pulleys etc and was about to start to remove the idler pulleys and tensioner and thought "I wonder if the new belt is right?"

It WASN'T. The bl**dy thing is too short. What the heck it is for, I don't know, but it isn't an Impreza!!

Thanks a lot Crossroad Garage. I hope you can sort this out on Monday.

It's a good job it's raining, or I'd be fuming with rage!

You didn't say which year you had but there are a few variations, give me a chassis number and I'll get you the right size belt......

It's a UK spec MY96.

The belt isn't just a little wrong - I'd have to lose 2 cams before it would work!

I've checked the invoice, and it's for the correct belt, so I'm going to give Crossroad a chance to correct their mistake.

Thanks very much for the offer though!
