Weird MY00 Turbo Problem
My door open warning light has decided to illuminate itself 24*7. When I leave a door open it goes a lot brighter so I can still tell if a door is open or not. However its starting to bug me having it lit on the dash all the time.
Any ideas or is this a dealer job?
Simon.

One of your door switches (Little black oval with a plunger switch) probably has a bad connection, check each switch for damage/unscrew each switch in turn and wirebrush the screw thread to get a good electrical connection.
the door open sensor thang - open the door, little black rubbery switch. havent taken one out of the scoob yet, but they're normally held in by one screw and pull out forward.
make sure the connections are clean and that the cable isnt shorting against the body. there is a slim chance of course that the switch is sticking...

lol P1 fan check the setting on the switch for the interior light (centre of roof), when i have it on completely off the dash light illuminates dimly, when i put it back to 'on when door opens" its fine.. bugged me for ages though, try it and see...

Thank god for scoobynet search. Had the same problem on my STi 6. Now resolved. What a strange, ****-about-face problem.

Bloody Hell - what a weird thing ....... my battery light glows slightly over the summer months on my car, fine over the winter months.
But, of course, I turn the interior light OFF when its summer and the doors/tailgate are left open for hours at a time and its dark at midnight!!!
In winter it is switched to come on with the doors, which aren't open much and it's dark at 2pm!!
