And fitted...

All for the price of one 250x500mm sheet of aluminium (£4.19) of which i used less than half and 2 hours of my time (£0.00).

Not the tidiest job but for a first attempt i'm quite satisfied with it along with being surprised i didn't give up half way through.

I'll just take my tarty *** right outta the drivetrain door now then.
I made something similar - I think from the same grade of sheet....2mm.....keep an eye on it - the metal fatigued over time and actually split - wackiing into my i/c. And I suspect I used more bracing than you are showing here.
Otherwise - a very neat job.

Ron, yeah, the car does seem to pull slightly stronger further through the rev range than before.
Nelson, thanks, i don't think they can be used with cars with the pre-facelift bonnet though as the intercooler doesn't sit flush with the bonnet and there is a minimum of space to work with. I'm prepared to stand corrected mind you.
Thank you for the warning Rannoch, i have been keeping an eye on it since it was fitted and will continue to do so. Whilst trying to find out what Michael Ferries makes his from i found this page - click on product number 2.
I know a chap who can knock things up out of carbon fibre so will enquire about getting the Scoop Splitter done. THAT shouldn't fatigue.
