My EGT sensor seems to have packed up on my UK spec WRX (MY02).

Am I right in thinking this is the sensor with two wires fitted in the up pipe just before the turbo?

Does anyone know the UK price (about $45 in the US), and has anyone ever fitted one?

Yes it is that sensor and yes I have

Just unbolt, slide out and unclip from the wiring harness.

Make sure the exhaust is cold though

I paid about £48 for the sensor.

Or install a 2.2kOhm resistor in it's place instead. How I'm not sure though!

Nathan, how did you get to the sensor? I have taken the intercooler off but I can't even touch the sensor, never mind get a spanner on it.

E. You either need a 4 wheel lift or a set of ramps.

The 4 wheel lift is much, much easier and makes the sensor fairly accesible. Will only take 5 mins to fit tops.
