Hi i have just managed to get subaru to repair my engine (piston slap) under warrenty .
The warrenty now runs out and i am not sure what cover i get on the work they have just carried out?
There must be cover because they may have made it worse (you never know !) any way any info would help so that i have some ammo when they fog me off like usual....
many thanks fellow scoobs

With any warranty work, as soon as the 3 year warranty expires, that's it! If u have a repair done the day before ur 3 yr warranty expires then u have 1 day's warranty on that repair!

However subaru very often will pay a claim as 'goodwill' if not to far into the 4th year.

Question

but if that is the case then what we are saying is that if they left the big end bolts loose and i drive down the road then i have no claim???? that cant be right.....
Anyone else know anything about this?

But in that scenario that is a claim against faulty workmanship which would be against the dealer and not against subaru!
