Tonight's visit from the police
Just had a surprise visit from the local Dibble. They wanted to know where I got my new spoiler! (didn't know they fitted 'em on cop cars now
: )
Seriously, apparently some guy in our town has had one like it nicked, and saw mine, and reported that he thought it was his.
I haven't kept the receipt, but at least I was able to tell them where it came from, when, and who sprayed it for me.
What is the world coming to??

I'd have them do the same as they usually do........ie sod all.
They only bother with the easy stuff......a quick check on an upstanding member of society like Alcazar (I presume your clean- you seem like such a nice chap) would have told them to look elsewhere. They probably just fancied a quick trip out of the station- probably driving like lunatics to get there endangering the general public.

You really need to get over it Malvinas.
You are saying that, when someone is a suspect for a crime, the police should merely look at their record, and if it's clean take no further action. Hmmm - that'll work then.

I'm just saying a bit of thought on their part might lead them somewhere else for example. They prefer the easy option- as for getting over it- I am over it- I just like to get them back whenever possible they deserve it.
edited to add: smart Mr Policeman who thought he could intimidate me got taped and then fired :-)

No, no visits from them personally, although my eldest has had one or two for fighting....................

Turns out that the young copper who came to the door with a (very attractive)WPC, has got a classic scoob too, so he was Ok when I told him where it came from. he knew of them, and said it was too easy to check, so it must be right.
If he's any sense, he WILL check though, cover his own, as it were!

I'd be quite reassured by that personally
. Good to hear that they *are* following up on thefts from cars. I know it's personal inconvenience, but it strikes me that it's for the greater good.
I'm actually quite happy reading this, and I hope they find the scum who nicked his spoiler!

Don't be such a tit. As people do say - you really must get a life. Get over it. You thought about anger management classes? tbh - the way you go on, I'm sure that you were a popular guy at school
Have a nice day. I will
Oh - and thanks for my pay cheque this week. If you want to feel aggrieved about your taxes paying my wages, feel happy knowing I'll buy a few drinks on you this weekend.
As for all the pro-=police, and the supporters on Scoobynet - thanks, as ever.

Burr, dont drop to such levels please.
Malvinas, do you know Burr personally? Had any experience with him as an officer?
Untill you have done so, please refrain from making such offending remarks.
There is absolutely no need for such comments. Yes you may have your views, but to aim them specifically at someone in the manner you have just done, i find offensive.
If you would like to have a discussion with the police over your views, then kindly refrain from doing so on here, may i point you towards www.5ive-0.com

Malvinas , although we have had some issue with the polics albeit a sour one usually , it is good to see the police taking action like this and following possible leads.
I think you are blowing this way out of proportion probably because of your bad experiences.
They were doing there job , how can they be faulted for that.

LOL@Burr- enjoy your drink - I guess the reason most policeman are near alcoholics is cos they can't handle the "stress" of their job.
As for paying your wages- your welcome to them. Pathetically small (should be a lot less though) as they are. I can afford to scatter a few crumbs on the floor for the serfs to pick up. Nice to think of you as my employee.

you know I think it was burr who started the being personally abusive thing with his crowbar/*** comment (gave me a quick chuckle though).
All joking aside
I don't like the police- I honestly think most of them are self serving, corrupt and arrogant. I've never had any positive dealings with them. I've never broken the law(except for speeding a few times), never been convicted of anything and yet they still harrased me. Others I know feel exactly the same way.

This will be my only reply to this thread (I am on a promise to the Mods)
"Friday night we saw a WPC being hassled by a group of lads and we just walked away as she was being wrestled to the ground. I don't know what happened to her and frankly I don't care."
When I was 8 (32 years ago) I was returning from prep school to london. On arrival at the train station I witnessed a WPC getting attacked by 3 men. I was amazed.. As i saw lots of other men walking passed. I wasnt having it and got stuck in ..as good as any 8 year old can!!!
I cannot understand anyone not helping a woman (WPC whatever)
been attacked.
I have posted some comments that have earned me "***** of the day award" but your comment will be remembered by many for a very long time.
If I saw anyone not helping a woman... I would "let them know about it"

so malvinas - if you were being beaten up by a group of lads (hypothetically cos I cant imagine that happening for one moment
) and the police tried to help you - would you tell them to get lost?
This is a genuine question, not taking the mick.

The police rarely help in these circumstances- they wait for the fight to finish then arrest whoever lost.
edited to add: I actually was in a fight and the police did turn up and did exactly what I described above. They also arrested one of the bouncers whose only crime was to get a kick in the face from one of the police!

just thought id put my 2 penneth in........
the wpc wasnt just a copper, it was a woman in trouble. You are a complete tosser if you ignore a woman in trouble no matter what she is or isnt.
i dont particularly like the police, but why not try my new outlook.
give them a chance as an individual first. If they dont pass your attitude test then ok, you are entitled to your opinion,
but some of them are actually ok.
i had a run in yesterday, where on a back road in the middle of nowhere, i was stopped by a copper for speeding, after a telling off, we had a bit of a laugh and i went on my way..
if you are civil with police, you will usually find that they are civil back.
