Might need a plate for my Sti 7 c/w PPP; The private plate from the Sti could well go on the wife’s new car
Sti was on the road 30th Jan 2002, so it would be a 51 plate.

Any ideas or Scooby plates you know about

you can put any reg upto a 51 ie cant put on an 02,52,03 but you coudl put on a Y reg for example or an A reg even.

best prices are direct from the DVLA and it tell you whats in stock

http://www.dvla-som.co.uk/

heres one or two I found to get you going :

ST 51 EYE £499 (ST51 I
UR 51 WRX £799
NO 51 WRX £799 (NOT A WRX)
OK 51 WRX £799 (OK ITS NOT A WRX)

S17 EYE £250 (ST 7 I)
V700 WRX £399 (VERSION 7 YEAR 2000 WRX)

Loads on there just play with the search.

They will be the cheapest you will find as the dealers buy off them.

Why go for a Scooby plate ? Why not go for a plate you can keep forever and put it on all yours cars. Lets face it, we all wont own Impreza's forever. What about :

***** UXI 24 *****

I have it for sale at the moment if your interested.

Cheers !

I just did a search and discovered that I can have my initials followed by 51, 52, 53, 02, 03 and WRX.

Trouble is they all cost £750 and that is a good way towards 18" wheels.

Should have bought my one a couple of weeks ago for £500, but think I'm keeping it now as I had so many time wasters!!

Big thanks for all the advice.

Glim & chrisp; good advice and I spent hours on the sites last night looking around. I am leaning towards a non Scooby plate, more in line with the plate I already have on the Sti 7 and have a few offers on the table right now.

Sandy; I had planned to get up the road this time home, but don't think I'll make it, so maybe next time at the beginning of May or so.

Cheers

Personally, I think it's best to have a plate the refers to either the car or the owner, not both.

I've had J8SHS for a few years, but ran P1 YOB for a while (£500 from DVLA) after some waster suggested he'd offer silly money for J8.... When time came to let the P1 go, I had no trouble getting £1k for it, yet friends who paid good money for P1 + their initials ended up selling the plate with the car.

Fun ones are quite good though. My Wife's got an 03 Rav4, and has recently bought AG03LYN. First of all her name's Lyn, but for the more silly amongst us it reads as A GOBLYN

i got D2VE H for £500, got offered £2200!!! , people notice a good plate before a car!

i put it on the sti8 last week from my my97, so far comments:
'Your car looks shiny have you waxed it'
'cool have u put a new body kit on it?'
'is that a new car?'

Should have left the o3 plate on for 6 mths!

for my ferarri 355 (maybe one day):

H1 5EXY - just as you pull up at caprice's house

Yes Chris, she did. However, it contained her name and some humour, so she was hooked. Definitely made me chuckle.
