Question

I am looking to sell my STI7 shortly, and I would like to hear from anyone who has recently sold one as to what they got for it either privately or p/x.

There has been a lot of talk about the 'bugeye'and its value recently, so please no unhelpful comments about how much it isnt worth.

Dealers seem to be advertising them at their usual ridiculous prices, and there are a few on here around £21/£22k that havent had a sniff.

Parkers says £18960 for good condition, and £17830 for trade.

Not so far as I know Mark,

Mine is probably going to be PX'ed.
I have someone interested but he is on holiday and the garage wants to sort out the exchange ASAP.
So do I really, gonna miss the scooby.

But hey in a couple of years Subaru should of had another 5-10 different models of scoobs out and I could have another.
A bit pi**ed of with Subaru and the knocking effect on the STI7 so I am going the M3 route for a while.

My local dealer has an STI7, going for 21; originally without bodykit, but looks like it has the prodrive spoiler on the boot.

No idea if it's got PPP.

It appears a lot of people are changing their STI 7's.
Are they sticking with Subaru and going elsewhere?

Traded mine in against an 8 for £18.5K ~12.5K miles, prodrive version, standard, with a broken wing mirror ~£200 parts+labour to replace.

Actually wanted to PPP it, but insurance hike caused a rethink, so I got an 8 instead, much better than the 7. Saved a few quid on not having to pay out for things like road tax and tracker renewal that were due soon on the 7 as well.

Im thinking of changing my WRX for an STi8. Just wondered how you saved on Tracker renewal, is this included in the purchase price of an STi8 then? i.e. £24,995

I selling my STI7 on the forsale area and have just renewed the tracker subsciption.
I wont get a penny back from them on the 11 months remaining.
Bet they will also clobber the new owner for a transfer of ownership fee and subsciption.

I had a test drive last month of an 8 and was quoted approx. 21k trade-in on my 7+ppp (52). I didn't !

Apparently I can run it for another year and the trade-in won't change much. I guess it's keeping your nerve between the top of the jump and that ledge on the way down.

Two weeks ago traded in my MY02 Sti7 P/Drive (Not PPP)
I got £20,500.00 in part ex. against another make of car.
Also managed to get a full re-fund from Trachstar (£120.00)
Hope this helps.

Sold mine for £19,300 a couple of months ago, Prodrive version with clear rear lenses and defi pack. Was around 9 months old with less than 8k on the clock.

Not the best investment I ever made!!!!!

Megabusa,

Finally chopped the Scooby in for an Audi A4 3.0 Litre Sport Cabriolet.

Not quite the performance of the Sti7, but it's not too bad honest.
