Just got MY96 UK Turbo, and want to upgrade the exhaust. Cant decide between Magnex 6x4 or Scorpion 'Tuner'. Can anyone advise ? have u got either system fitted, and do you notice any increase in BHP, or in sound?

 

IMO Magnex are much better quality and value.

 

got the scorpion tuner 5 on mine well its only 4'' they couldnt get a 5'' pipe on it got 13bhp extra with centre section and backbox sounds brilliant absalute perfect fit first class workmanship supposildly scorpion make the prodrive exhausts dont know if thats true or not trust me buy the scorpion

 

Have also got a 96 uk turbo. Fitted the scorpion tuner B/B 4" straight cut, fitted good, sounds good burbly but not mega loud, price very reasonable £200 ish (welds not as tidy as magnex but functionally sound, you do not see them once on the car anyway). Fitted the magnex straight through centre pipe as well £55 ish.
I have rolling roaded mine at 230 bhp with exhaust as above + pipercross panel filter.I am very happy with my setup

 

It is true scorpion do make the prodrive exhausts

Both are good quality,forget about the old cr*p about scorpion exhausts aint as good as Magnex,its a load of bull! IMO

I would go for what design is best for you and if you are tightthe price.

 

ive got a full magnex decat with 6x4 tail pipe well build system fits well and a nice sound, loud but not to loud i think a good all round system for the money but its what ever suits you.

As for the power you defo notice the power/tourqee increase the most power increase is the down pipe, i would say from my car and other cars 20-25bhp and a good amount of tourqe is about right for a full decat

Planky did not say that scorpion are not as good as magnex.
They sound, fit,look good and give a bit more bhp at a good price.
Just noticed that the welds were finished slightly better on my magnex pipe compared to my scorpion back box.
Just fit whichever tailpipe you like best.
