WRX MY01

ITG and Magnex decat from turbo back. Also took all the plastic away before the airfilter. Fitted short alupipe into the fender.

Do I need more fuel in there? uprated pump? regulator? injectors?

Do I need a remap?

What if I fit an up-pipe and port the manifolds?

Anything else for safety? No rubber jokes please

Thanks guys

Claus

Forgot to ask about the various CEL fix. Will they all let me know if something else is wrong with the engine? Which one is the best?

I believe it is widely accepted that the MAF sensor can work its way round that level of mods on a bugeye, even including the up-pipe and ported headers. Stick to decent fuel (higher RON the better), and I believe you won't have any problems. Having said that, you'll enjoy a remap if you can do it!

Pump, regulator and injectors are well up to the job until about 300bhp or maybe a bit more. With exhaust, up-pipe, headers etc plus a remap, I was getting 284bhp and still had some spare capacity looking at my injector duty cycle.

Edit to ask - did you find much benefit from changing the inlet resonator to aluminium pipe? Any increased noise?
