I am a very proud owner of a new MY03 STI PPP in blue. The performance of this car is quoted as 300BHP. I question is when does it produce 300 BHP?????
Maybe when it is brand new but an engine that is run in always performs better!
Maybe when the outside temp is cool!
Maybe when you press the water injection button otherwise what use is it!
I'm confused.

Wink

R u saying it feels much slower,
R u saying u aint managed 2 get neer red lining it yet where the big BHP is?
R u still running in,
Or R u just gloating kuz u got 1 lol
Seriously thou not sure wot yer fishing for or confused about check out the dyno graphs to see where most peoples power kum in (unlikely 2b any STi8 PPP'd uns yet i guess but u will get idea) & yes conditions etc will affect how yer car pulls etc but hey running on a full tank or empty tank will effect yer 0-60 times but hell if it feels quick, goes quick & soon gets u points then it's all good well all accept that last un lol

It will take a few thousand miles for the engine to loosen up. On my second scoob and I reckon it starts to fly at about 5000-6000 miles.

As for when it going to produce the best power 6000rpm in 4th gear is where it was measured. To get the best effect would have to be a cold damp winters day, just when you need loads of horsepower .

The water injection cools the air going onto the intercooler so its use would be better on warm days or after sitting in a traffic jam and the engine has got very warm.
