Had my P1 rolling road tested the other day and came up with a couple of "interesting" things.
Firstly it seems to be rather down on boost, only just making 1.0 bar....



Possibly a boost leak somewhere?

Secondly the chap commented that it was running very rich. Their kit measured down to 0.69 lambda and no further. My car was pretty much off scale for most of the rev range (hence the straight line at 0.69 as the kit would measure no lower).

Whilst I don't think this has any particular performance implications it does mean that the comedy Impreza fuel consumption is even worse than usual....



What can be done to adjust the fuelling levels back to something more "normal" or am I stuck with this fuel burner?

It is still under warranty but I don't know if the kit in a dealership would show up faulty sensors? I suppose it must do

I guess a faulty lambda sensor might cause it to overfuel like that....

Anyone round wiltshire-way got a DeltaDash or do I have to drive down to PE??

 

??? I tought Lamba below 0.85 is running lean ???

 

lambda 1.0=14.7:1 afr= <0.5 volts
lambda 0.80=12:1 afr = 0.88 volts.

OK sort it out fot myself, I was shaking things up....

 

Its more likely to be the MAF sensor not Lambda. 0.69 is way rich, surprised you got 269.

Any Subaru dealer should be able to diagnose it for you.

 

Would a faulty MAF show up on the Select Monitor?

 

Yes. If no fault code is logged for the maf, ask them to check the voltage. (Both done via Select Monitor).

 

Is it under warranty still?, if so take it in for a health check.
Needs to go somewhere that can plug it in really and monitor things to see what the sensors are doing.
Maybe find a local bod with a Delta Dash, or if you fancy checking things yourself DeltaDash
I got this and have diagnosed a problem I had on my STi5 (if you get stuck post the results on here and some resident expert will tell ya exactly whats up)
