Just got some ss sills to tart up the interior.The package says they can go over the plastic sills already there, but they sit proud (yeah they look smug as well), so do they fit ok over or should i try and remove the plastic ones first which means a bit of tricky cutting first.
Any bright ideas?

 

the ones i had on my p1, fitted straight over the std plastic ones, took out three of the plastic plugs (ones either end, one in the middle), placed sill over the top, and put the plastic plugs back in, jobs a winner. less than 5 mins and quicker than reading this!

 

Knew that might be the answer.Only problem is the sills are flat (or controured to be exact) so if i take out the plastic plugs what help will that be when they will have nowhere to go when the metal sill is down?

I got some lockwood ones and cleaned the plastic thoroughly and just stick them on - no probs whatsoever. Only thing is you gotta clean em every week as they pick up dirt quite quicky...Do look good though!

 

Mine went over the plastic sills, but did vibrate against the bottom of the doors at first, until I atached thin foam padding onto these.

I like the look, it's what good ol traditional Rovers and Jags have, just the little extra touches to
