Since getting the Type R remapped with the WI system the clutch has decided to give up the ghost. Its just started to slip when fully loaded in the higher gears..........

Anyone got any advise on what to get as a replacement......

Currently running 310lbft........

lateral performance?, i bought one because it's got more clamping pressure than an AP and comes with a release bearing making it cheaper than the AP with release bearing

Just changed the clutch on my ver5 Type-r and put in one of the above Lateral performance ones that are rated in excess of 400bhp and ftlb torque yet it has a lighter pedal feel and action than the standard one......Very impressed and as stated above works out cheaper than the AP one!!!!

I'd go for the Lateral Performance one, did one for a friend - VERY nice indeed - and a decent VFM ratio.

email mark@lateralperformance.co.uk to find out

While I know the LP clutches are very good (and good value) I'm also looking at a twin plate organic clutch that comes in at about £470 +vat. It's more than a LP organic clutch, but has extra torque capacity. I suspect however that Mark could sort out a higher spec version if required.
