Don't know if this is a nationwide thing, or just a local Devon thing, but the badge was nicked off my Scooby today, and also off other Scoobies that were parked nearby - looks like it might be the done "thing" for kids to do at the moment - none of the other non-Subaru cars were touched, including VWs etc. Apparently the badges cost £40 to replace - not the end of the world, but enough to be bloody annoying! I'm thankful that's all that was done - could have been a lot worse! - but it's still enough to p*ss you off so thought I'd warn people to keep an closer eye on their cars and where they park in a mission to save the badges! Perhaps I'll let my rottweiler sleep in it future ...!

the same thing happened to me last week, the tw@ts must have tried to take it off with a key, because they left my boot scratched to cr@p, they left the Impreza bit, but took the letters W R X and now all the rubber bit is still there, must do something about it, its terrible

Stu - what a nightmare! - mine was the front badge, so no damage, just a black empty circle where the badge should be. Concerned about the back now - eek! Whereabouts are you? Anywhere near Devon? I really don't understand why people do it - it's not like they're going to put them on their own non-scooby cars!! Be good if they did though, then you could find them and sort 'em out

Scooby Doo - don't know why I called you Stu, sorry about that! (momentary lapse of reason!)

lol, its ok. i'm in Birmingham, but i would just love to see them put it on their car, and to find it parked somewhere, i'd love it to be on a Nova, then i'd take the pi$$ and take my badges back and his. and make sure i took them with a key, see if he likes it

We live in hope ...! Would be satisfying though, wouldn't it! The annoying thing is that the sort of people that do this sort of thing will probably never know what it feels like because they'll never get to own a Scooby ... oh well, they might have the badges but we've got the real thing!

and we all know that no Nova, or any pimp car that these stickers go onto will ever look as good as on our car. I actually feel sorry for the people that steal them for the sake of it. I mean surely if they put it on a cr@p car, their mates will laugh at them..

The people who nick these are not old enough to drive - they put them in their bedrooms - all you need is a pop group to have the emblem and thats it!!!

I agree, cheers for that, feel much better now! Poor b&stards, nothing better to do than to steal Scooby badges just to know what it's like to actually touch one, all their mates laughing and pointing at their crap cars, life in the pimp world ... lol rather them than me! I'd rather have a de-badged Scooby anyday than a life like that!

Mine was nicked/blew off in the wind the other day.

New one was only 15 squids from the dealers, fitted!! They used some epoxy stuff, wrapped it in masking tape and painted a funny face on the tape as a finishing touch!! Looked like the Scoob had a bandaged nose - bless him!!

(I didn't take it off for 2 weeks)

Paul.

You should get yourself a Tavia instead - now which schoolkid / Nova driver / yoof is going to think it cool to nick a Skoda badge?

Wil - which dealers? My local dealers (Parks Subaru) quoted me £40!!! Perhaps I can mail-order it from the dealers you used? - surely prices can't vary that much?!

Markys & Eagle ... happened in the centre of Exeter, my Scooby and another one parked nearby also had its badge nicked. Looks like Devon is a bit of a target at the moment, so I'd be careful when parking for work etc - they're obviously on a mission (little sh*ts)

Could you not just wire the badges direct to the battery

are they making a word from subaru (or lots of subaru's) as the thieving 2hats did with escort diesels to make sorted.
