Question

Hi,

Just ordered my MY03 WRX, i pick it up in march/april time. I'm wanting to get the PPP kit fitted but the question is when can i do that? Does it have to be run in etc or can i get it installed from new?

I'd suggest driving a few thousand miles without it and then when you get it you will notice the difference. If you have it from new you will never appreciate the difference it made. Obviously if you dont notice a difference then perhaps it isnt working as it should - you might not notice this if you use it from the start.

All IMHO of course.

Simon.

Personally I would run it in first, then leave it another 4000 miles(5000 in total). That should ensure that the engine is nicely bedded in. I don't think you have to wait, it's more of an advisory really.

Running in is essential though.

Thumbs up

Had it fitted from new on my 02 WRX - carefully ran it it as per normal - would agree with the above comments though, never driven a Scooby before (with or without PPP) so don't know any different. All I can say is I love it.

I had mine fitted after the 6 month service from new which gave the car chance to be ran in properly. Noticed as the engine became looser (Up and above 10K) the perfomance just got better !

Surely it doesn't matter when you get it done provided you run it in well. I get my new STi on 1st March with the PPP.

Why wait when we all know it enhances the performance. I am leaving my P1 for this one so you can see why I want the PPP asap,

Cheers folks,
Thinking about it now, i may as well wait a few k miles then. It'd be nice to feel a difference for my £1600 especially as this is to be my first Scooby.

Andy.
