Unhappy

Must go to the opticians and have my eyes checked. I have recently seen on a regular basis a Green Wagon, MY99, with prodrive wheels, what looks like a blitz exhaust or hks super dragger, and it must have equal length headers on it (no boxer sound), going up and down Woodhouse Lane quite a bit.

Now you can hear the guy way before you see him. However, today he chose to stop in a layby, waiting for someone i guess:confuesed:, and then drive off.

Fine so far i guess......

........ well judging by his car lights being on and his front fogs on, it must be foggy!!

Well its just after 12 lunch time in Leeds, the sky is clear, no fog, no rain or anything, so why the fog lights??????

Begining to bug me now, number of scoobs you see with their fog lights on, when it is not foggy

There is a switch to the right of the steering wheel that turns them off, USE IT!!!.

rant over

I know, there's a red one that I see in the Yeadon area that always has them on too... letting the side down !

Worst culprits -

Saxos
Pug 206's
Fiat Cinq/Seicento/Puntos
Most other Pugs for that matter..

And many others too... totally agree - if it ain't foggy - then turn 'em off.

Don't know why so many people drive in clear conditions at night with only side lights on and front fogs on too !?!

I know the car you mean... I actually think it isnt a turbo.. as it doesnt seem to go anywhere fast when he puts his foot down..

I really dont see what the fuss is with people driving around with their fogs on in the day. Its not like its night and you can get blinded/dazzled. You can see a car with lights on a lot easier than one without, especially in the low light levels of winter.

Id best add that I dont do use my fogs in anything other than fog or to attract someones attention. Or sometimes when I forget to turn them off.

Simon.

I think your fogs turn themselves off once you've turned the ignition off, a bit like the rear demister.(Ie. they don't come on next time you use the car)

Agree with P1fanatic, dont see what the fuss is all about. Not exactly bright are they.

I use mine when not foggy on country lanes, as my suspension is so hard I have to keep a constant vigil for potholes. But, my car is low down, so they wouldn't dazzle anyone anyway (unlike a "normal" cars normal headlights which even dazzle me on dipped beam).

Need a higher car I think

Anyone who uses them when its not foggy is an ignorant ****. Some of them are very bright, and they really don't look very impressive. Not so bad when they are small ones (MR2's are only little DW)

But when its some giant people carrier (worst culprits IMHO) I like them to have some revenge with use of the PIAA lights. They really hurt. I saw a guy with his PIAA's on during the day a while back, they really are blinding.

People behind you really get wound up if you give them a flash of your rear fogs, when they have thir fronts on. What the hell is that about

My front fogs deffo dont turn off when the ignition goes off.

I love the fact the impreza hasnt got one of those beepers to tell you the headlights etc are still on. It just turns them off with the ignition. Still doesnt make up for no rear wiper though

In all fairness, front fogs don't bother me too much (in blinding/dazzling terms).

The ones the really are offensive are the rear - I really get dazzled by them

One could almost argue that uprated headlights can dazzle too..... I wish I had a pound for every time I'd been dazzled by a BMW or Merc or even a Vectra......

P1, how many time do people tell you "Er you've left your lights on!" while looking smug. Only for you to switch the engine off, and they go off too. Hapens to me daily at work

Ha ha it is cool. I see so many emails at work saying x,y & z car have left their lights on. Pretty much impossible unless I leave the car idling in the car park all day

People really Pi** me off when they use their fogs when theres no need!

Around here the most common culprits seem to be the People carriers, then the saxos.

Now im thinking of fitting one of those **** off rally pods, you know the ones with 4 huge lamps in them.Every time i see one of those ******* with the fogs on they can have a blast of mine, and hopefully they will crash
