Ok, seeing as I now realise there are actually a lot of Scoobs in and around East London, especially Docklands, how about we meet up once in a while?

There are some good places to meet up and compare notes, but I'm not 100% sure until I look into it more where we can eat...would depend on the number of attendees. My thoughts are meeting around Canary Wharf as its easy to find, then going for a blast out past City Airport to a pub.

Register your interest here.

Hello mate

You know you can count me in, especially for the blast to City Airport - its my daily route so i will really enjoy it in a convoy of Scoobs

Not sure where we can stop but we will think of somewhere

Thumbs up

Yup... I'd be up for this.

Unfortunately, my scoob's got suspension issues (knocking noise coming from rear) at the moment and is booked into Wilson's this week to get it looked at.

Once that's sorted - bring on the convoy!

Seems a common-ish problem with Scoobs.

Mine also has a problem...namely body roll and huge gaps under the arches! Being sorted this friday at TSL with a set of Eibachs

Ahhh - all in good time ed all in good time

Actually I'm really stumped as to which direction to go regarding tuning ATM so I may finish all my styling mods first, which will take til summer, and then see how some of the current warranty issues people have get resolved and see how ecutek etc. develop.

You getting a bugeye then or what? Make is snappy, prices are expected to start rising a little come May / June.

I'll be up for some of that on the 9th Feb!

Be careful down the dock roads though, I got pulled by the fuzz twice in a week for looking like I might've been going too fast, of course I denied this!

Cheers

Hi guys,

I should be able to make the 9th too and Canary Wharf sounds good to me. If we are going to go on somewhere else (doesn't CW have some decent places to eat or are they shut at the weekend?) then I hope people can stick to a convoy, and not let it turn into a race. I've been to too many events where peolpe have taken their brains out just because they are driving with "fellow scoobs" and don't want to feel I have to drive like an idiot to keep up (I only drive like an idiot in the countryside )

Cheers,

Matt

Hi all...there is a Surrey meet on the 9th, anyone fancy convoying along the Thames to meet the West London lot and then a mass convoy down the A3 to Guildford? They have a great spot down there and some superb cars...

If its raining, then we stay East?

How does that sound?

Matt - yeah I'm the same mate, don't worry shouldn't be a problem.

Can't do the bigger one as I need to be in and out within an hour or two, regardless of weather.

Where are we meeting anyway? Cabot Square or somewhere like that? (can you get up there on a weekend these days?). How big is McD's car park down by the roundabout?

Cheers,

Matt

Wink

Count me in for the 9th, but better if we stay locally as i will only be able to stay for a few hours

How about Excel, that could hold about 10,000 scoobs - only joking, just feeling a bit cheeky this afternoon

let me know - by the way ed, have you got the wheels on yet?

Ideally, we want somewhere easy to find with a big car park and if poss, somewhere to eat/drink (and ideally within sight of the car park )

OK - maccy d's is a good location, right near canary wharf, good size car park, and surrounded by bushes to keep away unwanted attention. Streetmap link is here

The maccy's is right on the roundabout, and you have to go onto Trafalgar Way to access the car park.

Let me know now if people are definitely up for this - I'm happy to blow out the Surrey meet if we are going to get a decent turnout but if it's only gonna be 3 of us I'd rather do it next weekend instead? However if its raining on Sunday then I'll definitely just stay local regardless.

How does 11.30 sound? Blackwall Tunnel is fine @ weekends for anyone coming from South.

So...this week or next, this week or next, this week or next???

Can't do next week so I need it to be this Sunday. I don't care what the weather does (but dry and bright like yesterday would be nice though ) and 11:30 sounds good to me.

I'm deffo in, hopefully everyone else is too (and I know where McD's is so I'm sorted!).

Paul (N P), I hope you're coming as I want to sample the mods you've had done (and we may be able to do a DeltaDash road run including DetaDash Dyno ).

Ta,

Matt
