Cool

Just fitted a set of blue side light bulbs. They really stand out like a sore thumb.

Place your bets on how long I last before Im pulled

also whats the score if Im pulled. Am I imperonating a police officer??

Impersonating an emergency service vehicle??

Or will they slamp my rist and tell me to remove them??

Ronnie

I have got a set of pace car strobs

I was warned by a police office whilst I was on my drive that if he saw me with them flashing on the road I would be in serious trouble

Had some blue PIAA bulbs on my ZR for 6 months or so now. Two blue LEDs per "bulb". At night looks wicked.

Been pulled by plod once for them. Managed to blag my way out of it. Just asked me to change 'em at the roadside (I always carry the originals for that reason).

As for the law, under the Vehicle Lighting Regulations, anything showing blue light is reserved exclusively for emergency response vehicles only. Fitting blue lights to your car therefore breaks these rules and 3 points, £60 fine is possible (and has been issued).

Has anyone fitted these as dashboard lights?

I changed my dash lights about a year ago, and they had little blue condoms on them to make the light a lot whiter. However, they had all melted on a bit, so they ripped when I tried to take them off.

Replaced the bulbs without the blue condoms, and now the dash lights are a bit yellow/orange rather than the cool white colour they used to be.

Just wondering if I could use these instead - would they shine blue or white ish??

You wont get points for it. The most you'll get is a fine and have to get an MOT testing station to say youv'e had them removed.
I have always got away with them as the law says that you must show a white light which you headlights will be nothing to say about any other colour on the side. Red is the only exeption which must never be shown at the front of the vehicle.
