I used to tow a Towavan with my scoob (MY99 RB5) and had one of those Tow bars that you could remove the ball which made it difficult to tell it was on.
It used to Tow superbly as well

I have a forthcoming baby due in April and I'm think of being prepared. I'm considering either getting a roofrack or a trailer, but cannot decide on which would be best.
. Good luck with the forthcoming event sorry I cant be of any use not had either. Tow bar is good incase you back into something or someone runs into you though. [Edited by chrisp - 1/11/2003 8:16:00 PM]

But the serious answer is:
Personally I would go with the roofbox.
My brother has one (Thule) and it is really easy to put on/take off.
Almost doubles the "useable" boot space (he has a hatchback/mid-size mpv, not a scoob
).
Only a VERY SLIGHT effect on fuel economy.
IMHO looks better than towing a trailer.
But I went with the wagon option

Cheers guys,
I think a roof rack it is then.
Steve, I did actually want a wagon (my dad has one), but IM decided that they wouldn't import a STI version. Which, as may people on here have said, is a shame
What I didn't know when I ordered it, was that the rear seats didn't fold down

thanks

Hi all,
I have a forthcoming baby due in April and I'm thinking of being prepared. I'm considering either getting a roofrack or a trailer, but cannot decide on which would be best.
With the roofrack I could use a roofbox, but you are I guess more likely to scratch the roof paint than if you use a trailer.
What made me think is that receintly be brought a flat-pack cot and I had right trouble getting it in the car because my rear seats don't fold down.
Does anyone use either of these with a MY02 ?
Regards
Gareth
