Which is the 'better' one to have, for day to day driving etc etc.

 

Never owned either, but from an insurance and purchase cost point of view it must be the P1??? Plus most 22B's out there will be grey imports adding to the insurance,parts and servicing headaches.

 

good point about the costs for an important 22B, unless of course i could get my hands on a UK spec one (yeah not likely at all)

actually i think the P1's more 'agressive look' looks a lot nicer than the 22B, the little front spolier lip thingy (how technical am i!) and the alloys give it a bit more of a meaner look then the gold coloured alloys.

If you are going to put alot of mileage on a car you will loose alot of money fast but

A 22b would be the ultimate but not for day to day use.
Its the sort of car you can play with at weekends.

The p1 will probably be the one for you to buy and you wont regret it.
Mine is 3 years old in may with 7700 miles on but i only use it as a toy,Dont want to put alot of mileage on her.

Hopefully it will be worth something one day.

I do like them 22bs.

 

There were only 16 officially sold type UKs plus 3 extras, one of which is is Nicky Grists 22B and currently up for sale by all accounts. Not seen a type UK for sale less than 40K though. I think at least one of the 16 was written off as well but not sure so dont quote me on that.

 

18 now in the uk 12 of them are uk ( so i was told by a dvla sorce)

At the time only 16 were alllowed to be imported under the personally SVA regualtion. Out of that for sale allocation a few went to Subaru UK staff I think and the rest to VIP Subaru customers. The extra three which all had the 000 plaque number went to David Lapworth (Prodrive), Nicky Grist and a bloke named Colin from Scotland.

50 22B were imported on personal SVA.

UK 22B had to wait until the next year to import them "officially" for I.M. 16 at least 1 has been totalled

Limmitted run 400 World wide plus 8 for VIP world wide e.g. Subuaru America and Australia head of operations as Demo cars.

Lapworth, Grist and Mcrae cars designated 000 not official 22B more like "protypes" Grist loved it so much he bought a proper 22B then sold this second standard 22B that he imported from Japan and then sold to a friend of his

 

Go for the 22B mate ive driven Glens from REVOLUTION and it was awesome, loads of torque in every gear, it made my year ha ha.
Last I heard was that 3 22B uks were write offs and 3 may have been exported but dont quote me on that.Glens is a uk and he was v v lucky to get it.Go on be a DEVIL!
