If your running cr@p tyres then the answer is yes, the OEM bridgestones do tramline a little, if you want an excuse to go for the best compromise in wheels (for a classic) then get 17's on there, if your already running them then check your tyre pressures!

What size wheels mate? Upped mine to 17"'s from 16" recently (with different 'less preferred' tyres too) and now experience tramlining where as it previously was negligible. Nail it to overtake, and if there is a ridge between the carrigeways there is now a tug on the steering wheel...

Hmmmm, the 16's are probably your biggest problem, had the same with the standard alloys and tyres on my MY00 turbo but having changed them to 17's and 215/40/17 SO2 PP's i dont get that problem anymore
.
The SO3's are not really highly regarded in 16 inch form, and to alot of people they are not really a replacement for the SO2's (which they were not anyway) so i feel that you could be a little stuck at the moment

cheers Dan.
It may be the same thing as performance bikes & fighter aircraft etc. they have to be very willing to change direction to handle well but maybe this eagerness to move about on the road is the payoff. Sure i can live with it though
. Off out to just make certain it still does it (its a dirty job but ......)
thanks for advice c u later

Just take it steady, m8. There's just been a court case here about a copper who lost his V70 T5 on a very bumpy road near here, whilst taking part in a simulated chase. car written off, two cops injured. Matey gets done for dangerous.
ALL cars do it on very bumpy roads, and if you want bumpy roads come and look here out on the "Isle".

Must say I disagree with Tony - the larger the wheel mass & the wider the tyre & the lower the profile then the more suscebtible the car is to tramlining AFIK...
My Sti V on 16" wheels with the standard Bridgestones and then Toyo T1's NEVER tramlined, so yours shouldn't mate. [Have you heard that these are one of THE best B road cars - wouldn't be the case if it tramlined like a, well, err a tram
)
Get a 4 wheel alignment, get the bumpsteer mod (all at Powerstation if u like) and I'm sure you will be fine - you make it sound real bad!
