i had my sti ppp fitted the end of october and
i am happy with the improvements in performance.
but today my dealer told me that it was fitted
without the sports cat and my car sill has
the standard downpipe cat
so i`ve got it booked in next week for the
sports cat to be fitted
has this happened to any one else

You sound very calm about it.

Id be doing my nut,did they charge you for the sports cat,or just not bother fitting it?

If they have charged you for it,then they were hoping you wouldnt notice,but you did........

 

Lee, i would also ask them i they fitted the new restrictor, when i had my MY01 WRX PPP'd they forgot to change it.

If your dealer forgot a downpipe ! i would check the restrictor was done for sure as it's only a small but important part of the package.

I was lucky enough to have my STi7 PPP'd at Prodrive and when they were done i enquired about the restrictor and was informed that it is changed.

you mean they dont have a shipping list and instructions on how to install it. Even IKEA can get that right.

I wasn't aware the d/p was touched with the ppp?

 

D/P is only changed on the STi, not the WRX.

And Leer, I would report your dealer to the highest authority possible, possibly even Prodrive themselves, that is an outrageous situation.

 

Remember that it's the dealer that told Lee they have an extra bit to fit. If they were truly out to scr@w him they could have just kept quiet. Certainly a poor omission but they're coming clean.

 

Can anyone provide a list of what is changed so we can all cross them off ?

When I had mine fitted last week I got the following back.

*. 1 x backbox
*. 2 x cats
*. 1x restrictor in a clear plastic bag

 

I received in Italy

2 cat
1 back box
1 box with engine cp module
