Joe,
Are you the guy I had a chat with the other week at Cannons Marsh? I was in the popping and banging Green UK MY97 with gold wheels. Did you go to the Exmoor run? I couldn't make it as funds are a bit tight at the moment, what with Christmas coming up

The Audi was owned and driven by the late Tom Hammond. It was a replica of Michelle Moutons Pikes Peak car and ran between 700-800BHP. IIRC its still the class record holder at Shelsley Walsh

The chirp/chatter/flutter noise is what they call "wastegate chatter" NO IDEA WHY tho, its NOTHING to do with the wastegate! Basically its air escaping back out the turbo inlet when the throttles closed. The best way to get it is...
1- remove ALL g@y dumpvalves, as thas where the air will escape from, rather than back out turbo inlet. Dumpvalves dont decrease lag, or make car any more reliable, the reason most cars are fitted with resirc ones as std is to STOP the chatter noise as soem people dont want that (same as quiet exhausts n no induction noise).
2- fit an induction kit rather than an airbox, as the airbox muffles the noise.
3- Some kinds of airlflow meters would muffle the noise, im not sure on scooby ones, if its a flap type one, thatl deffo mute the noise, but if its a wire type one, then itl be ok.
Cheers
