Question

Thinking of getting one, and wondered if any of you guys/gals have one on a WRX and are they:
1) Easy to fit?
2) LOUD?

Thanks,
Jon

I wouldn't bother mate. I've just seen the new Jap back box that TSL are selling. It looks and sounds awsome at approx £325. I'm thinking of getting rid of my scorpion backbox for one. The quality has to be the best I've seen yet

Check out the TSL website

the firestorm is very loud, i have one and didnt believe it till it was fitted, i have it and the centre section, still got my cat and its very loud, you will not be dissapointed. the guy who fitted it fits exhausts and that kinda thing all the time and he said its the best fit and the easiest he has ever had, much better than momgoose, scorpion etc. the finish is great quality too.there should be a thread on here somewhere about them, it has a sound bite which is wot really convinced me to get one.

Thumbs up

have you had a look at Scoobyworld's Afterburner by Hayward and Scott? I have a Sport but the back box looks awesome (4.5" of chrome) and the noise is superb

..one of the Hants guys just got one of these (Stevie B) looks and sounds fantastic Completely standard car exhust wise other than the Firestorm and we could hear him coming from the end of the road Even vibrated the outside cupboard door when he was parked on the drive - he was very happy with it and I don't think he'd hesitate in recommending one

Looked like a quality item as well, not to nova-boy-lost-my-dog-up-the-exhaust, but big enough to be noticed and look just right

IMO, the Firestorm is the nicest sounding Scooby BB that I've heard. It's not the loudest, but the sound is awesome. I'd buy one without a second of hesitation, if I were in the market for a new BB.

If you like the Firestorm you'll love this one...
Near identical to the Firestorm except for the mounting bracket (TSL mount it using a clamp around the silencer, these have the brackets welded on)

Cost a lot less than the Firestorm and has a lifetime guarantee!

Its from a trade only exhaust specialist thats been manufacturing stainless steel exhausts for around 30 years, so they know their stuff! I've seen the Firestorm and this silencer box is EXACTLY the same, the only diference being the mountings, these ones are welded on. Also these come as standard with 3" bore 304Grade stainless steel pipework that fits onto the oem 2.25" or aftermarket 2.5" centre sections no probs. They will supply it with 2.5" pipework if thats what you want but I went for the 3" (may as well have the bigger bore when its the same price!)
The sound is simply the best (near enough identical to the Firestorm) final sound will depend what the rest of your exhaust is?

If you want to email them yourself its: sales@bargainmotorsport.co.uk

I know for a fact they will be having a retail website up and running very soon(I spoke to the manager this week) If you do email them mention WRXBOB on scoobynet told you about them and it should help get the price down

I believe the Firestorm is £370 inc vat (plus delivery)
I'm sure I can get the Bargain Motorsport BB for around £300 inc vat & delivery(possibly less if I can get a good order together?) Thats £70 less than a Firestorm and you get FREE delivery in the UK! If I can get orders for 10 or more it should be around £290 inc del!
What I would need to know is how many for classic shape and how many for the 01/02 shape and if all 3" or if some wanted 2.5" pipework?

I like a good haggle and organising a group buy gives me something to do while I'm stuck at home recovering from a bad car crash(I was a passenger).

Let me know if your interested

Bob

Yep that's my soundbite. I haven't stopped grinning like a buffoon since fitting it. I have a Magnex downpipe and non resonated centre section BTW. Tip: Drive through a tunnel.....

There's a Tunnel near me that EVERY time someone fits a new Exhaust or Air Filter, you hear them drive in
1st = Fast as they can
2nd = Let off the revs as they go in to listen to it grumble!!
I'll be going there!!

DreXel....

I can't help but dribble everytime the revs drop off and the whistle starts.
Is this because of the Air filter u have (Sorry, Dunce Here!) and if it is...what is it???
Sounds gorgeous!

You can really hear the turbo spin up and down because of the twin dump downpipe. I have a completly standard air filter. Either that or my turbo is dying..........

Thanks.
