If you want your car rolling roaded have a look under the Southern Meets section. If you haven't already seen it Maffa is trying to arrange a rolling road meet in Hampshire.
It might be worth you getting in on this.

Chris,

You could just pop down to Power Engineering!

They charge £45+VAT for a full rolling road session.

Maffa's day at Tuning Japanese will be about £35 all in, and I doubt there will be space on the November PE day, but that's £30.

16 PSI is about on the nose for held boost on a PPP. It is possible to get the peak to go to 17 or 18PSI and not hit overboost cutoff. Try flooring it in 4th or 5th gear at around 3500 or 4000 rpm on a cold misty morning and you might get a peak boost, but often it just sails up to 16 or so and holds. With a downpipe it will be quicker still - almost the same difference again, and not amazingly noisy if you leave the PPP centre and rear section on. My car now feels unmodded P1 fast with this and an induction kit.

Thanks for the info on rolling roads.

Andy, don't suppose you've got Power Engineeing's number?

John, will changing the down pipe mean removing the front cat? Also what options do I have on upgrading the brakes without spending simular money again as I feal they don't cope any more.

Just had the PPP fitted to MY99. What a difference, well worth it. Question is it now holds 16 PSI a gain of 4 PSI from standard. How does this compare to other PPP'd cars?
Also, I know that some people organise 4 wheel road sessions at Power Engineering, is it possible to just book a slot, if so does any one have any idea of the costs?

Yes. Come MOT you can put on your original (pre-PPP) catted centre or borrow a friendly specialists twin cat centre pipe just for this purpose.

Change the front brake pads - Mintex 1155 are the cheapest at about £60 and work a dream, but they can squeal and drag and wear the discs quickly. Change the fluid to DOT 5.1 (£10) and put on braided hoses (£50). When your discs wear out/crack if you are that enthusiastic, fit some grooved aftermarket discs. I gather that when you change the discs with 1155's they don't really improve things from the OEM discs except they don't crack. However, just 1155 with OEM discs on mine is enough to trigger the ABS in the dry from speed - I've noticed the Scooby ABS is quite nice as it allows you quite a lot of feedback and you can feel it squirming before it kicks in.

CJRH,
Enjoy and then fit a magnex d/p. The difference i experianced from PPP->PPP+d/p was same Normal->PPP, cheap mod too! A m8 drove my car after the d/p and ordered one next day for his scoob!
