Hi,

On my MY00 having fitted the AFR now it shows that under hard acceleration the Scoob is not likely to run at all lean (blue LED = 7%+ I think), not that I expected it to as ECUTEK built in the Decat situation into the TEK 2 software - which is still wonderful

I have a question - running at this richish mixture is obviously safe for the engine, but would the cars performance be enhanced if running slightly leaner? If so, how could this be acheived WITHOUT compromising the longevity of the engine?

I ask the question because it seems that the car feels a little happier / quicker when not on WOT, but maybe 3/4's - 4/5's, which must mean the car is running leaner than WOT I guess ... Any comments guys?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

If you custom mapped with a wideband you could make it a bit leaner, but the gains would not be worth the outlay unless you do other things to the car IMHO. Rich=safe

HI John,
Thank you ... I thought this may be the answer ... but always worth asking the question!
