Syntrax is good stuff for Scooby boxes. I tried Silkoline full synthetic but got rid of it quick as it promoted crunching from 4th to 5th at changes 4000 and above. Syntrax cured this completely.

PS The Silkoline now resides in the wifes Nissan Primera!

Hi All.
I have just discovered that my gearbox syncro to 4th gear is gruncing at high rev gearchange from 3th to 4th.
I have asked the local dealer about castrol syntrax 75-w90 which i have seen You guys recommend when there is a syncro cruncing, but the syntrax is not full syntetetic! it says "syntectic based" on the label and the castrol book recomend a "SNX-S 75-w85 full syntetic".
What do you think i scould try before i rebuild it again???.
It only seem to last 40000km becourse i had the same problem before.

Regards from Denmark.

I use it and I can say that have easier gear changes than before.
Doesn't matter if it is semi synthetic, just change it more often.
