A few quesions about engine oil (Not which one)

I may be wrong here but i dont think that an engine oil flush is advisable (esp for a turbo car) as all the subaru dealers ive been to just dump the old and let it drain then refill with new.

Paul, use a Subaru filter. This was debated at some length last year. Apparently it is a very good filter and any other will invalidate your warranty.

I have no warranty to worry about but ordered OE today so should see it by the weekend. I normaly use a OE filter and get it when the car is serviced, but wondered if I could save myself a trip to the dealers as I haven't one in stock.

I just use the Halford's one. I can't tell the difference between that and OE version. Besides, I suspect that they're made by the same manufacturer anyway. Subaru don't make oil filters, they get a third party to do it.
