Has anyone fitted an uprated fuel pump / regulator to an STi4?
Hi peebs,
Have any of you fitted an uprated fuel pump and / or regulator to your scoobs? If so please mail me some info on what pump / regulator you used, supplier contact details or URL. And if
possible some flow rate figures for the pumps.
Thanks
Pete

uprated pump went into my P1 last week, Walbro, supplied by Branco at Bob Rawle Developments in anticipation of the Tek 3 tomorrow. I think Mark Aigin on here can supply them - R19KET is user name. Don't know rate I'm afraid. Stuart at Scoobysport banged it in for me (Cheers m8)- I was a bit nervous about buggering about with the fuel tank and don't have anywhere covered at home, but its actually a piece of pi55, Back seats out - 5 bolts, sound deadening material removed, undo drivers side panel under the vertical part of the back seat - this exposes the actual tank access panel itself , disconnect all 3 fuel lines(out, return and vent) and electrical connector undo nuts ( remove from vicinity before you take the access panel off
)extract fuel pump gubbins. The pump is just a push fit - it comes out easily and new one goes back easily, just bend the retaining bracket a bit to accomodate the new longer pump, the electrical connection attached to the new pump is a direct swap for the oem one.reverse above
.
Runs nicely if a little bit louder than old one, car already seems smoother.

As above Pete, I'd speak to Mark A. I got my pump from him and it's well up to the job
He has the flow curves etc.
The regulator I use is an FSE rising rate type but it is a pain to set up and even worse to map I believe
With you having the Link I would recommend the regulator that Mark also supplies (webber ?)
