Boba,

Hi, went for the pink in the end then. I thought you were going for the subtle look

Get a thin, but fairly wide flat blade screwdriver. Wrap it in a dish cloth to stop scratching and lever the old badge off from the bottom corner. The old badge pops off without too much trouble. If you can reach outside with a hairdryer then giving it a little heat first will soften the sticky pad.

Cheers Nathan

In fitting a pink badge u are more at risk from some ****** releiving u of it. I had this done to me and when i replaced the pink badge with another i fastened it with velcro, taking it off when i parked the car.

It may sound extreme but it stopped further damage to the grille and meant i didnt have to keep on forking out £30 a go.

The Velcor trick is inspired !! Thanks - having just had front badge and P1 badge stolen I had planned to leave them off and only fit when and if I came to sell the car - but Velcro sounds great. Is it really reliable? Will it still work in very bad weather conditions?

Question

Surely velcro dosn't sit flush with the grill though?? as its fluffy and puffy kinda thing..

Cool

The badge is raised around the outside anyway, and it does sit flush to the grille. All i did was stick one piece where the badge goes, then stick the other strip on the back of the badge.

I was afraid when i first done it that it may fall off in high speed, wet weather etc but all fears were groundless. Badge came off easily in your hand but never budged while i was driving in all conditions.

When i had all my spoilers nicked i wished id stuck them on with velcro as well! They didnt get my pink badge though, it was in my pocket

I think for the sake of approx £1 you cannot beat this solution!

Velcro - what a damn good idea!

Wish I had read this before sticking it on earlier, oh, well if (when) it gets nicked i will result to that. The Original came off fine so could always get the pink one off and velcro it anyway.

Cheers
