Grrrr,

this is winding me up!

I have a CV on an online jobby place(jobserve ifact)

I want to amend it, all I want to do is change my address, so I donwloaded the current CV. Its 58K, changed my address then saved it. Its now 64k(even thought the address is no longer) and Jobserve only accept up to 60K.

I even trimmed it down by one whole page less of text and it was still 61K!

What on earth is going on ??

I need a fix, help!

Andy

Thumbs up

Turn off 'fast saves' in the Save options tab. If this is turned on, all that's saved is your incremental changes, meaning that even if you delete text the file size will increase!

Seem to remember that saves to an existing word doc just tack the changes to the end of the file along with necessary pointers. This increases the files size.

Try saving as another filename. Might sort it

OK

I fixed it.

In my desperation I did select all, then copy and paste into a NEW blank doc. It ended up as like 44K

that is mad
