Top Gear - Impreza BEATEN????!!!!
"BT what utter rubbish.
Are you jealous ?"
Why would I be jealous? As I said, our Exige is much quicker round a track and our Scoob is much better on the road.
No need to be jealous because if it had been good then I would buy one...
Find any report which disagrees with the latter and find a track with an RS that I can bring our Exige to for the former.
I was actually very disappointed because I was expecting to like it a lot, and that's WITHOUT experiencing the horrendous road problems which EVERY reviewer talks about.

Take a bit of metal, take a bit or board,
Screw it together and you have a FORD!!
Come on, I am a very old fella and have owned about 20 Fords amongst other cars from the orient.
The Jap cars last and last - early 70's cars rotted away, but ALWAYS started ................ I remember those freezing mornings in the 70's - you would hear the Fords clattering about and NOT starting ................... out come the Datsuns and Toyotas and WOW - they started!!
Sorry, FORDS drop bits after 20000 miles and 2 years
Just IMHO, Of course!!

Okay firstly 95 WRX is an import and they were a lot cheaper in Japan than our UK models so I have done a bit of searching jsut to make it fair too UK models.
www.parkers.co.uk
1995 N reg 4 door UK Impreza turbo average mileage :
Cost new £18k and now costs £6,500 to buy off a dealer
1995 N reg Escort cosworth luxury with average mileage :
Cost new £26K and cost to buy off a dealer now £14,200
So what can we learn :
If you have brought the scoob it has cost you £11,500 in depreciation.
If you had brought the cossie it has cost you £11,800 in depreciation.
Now I would say that was pretty close

Come on guys, the're SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good they STILL haven't been able to come up with a road-going version of their rally car. And insiders say they never will.
The following conversation just about sums Fords up:
Me,( to youngest son,13): "Would you like to win a Focus RS?"
Youngest son: "Only if I was allowed to sell it and buy something decent like an STI V7, or an EVO."

If the Ford had four wheel drive and a less snaggy diff I would buy one and then tune it up. As it is I think I'll keep the Scooby and wait for the Cosworth or Evo 11 or whatever we on by the time Ford bring it out
And then I won't because the engine won't be as tunable as the old Cossie lumps?

I assume that Stig is Stig Blomqvest(spelt sumink like that), ex rally driving bloke, think he does some test driving things for Fords now.
