I have noticed that my heatshield rattles and clanks when its around 2500rpm... I think at that kind of level the pressure is as such that when not accellerating I hear the noise; but when I accellerate, I don't...

It's annoying and embarrasing, how do solve this please?

 

Depending on where it is rattling, either remove the offending part or use large repair washers to hold it in place.

 

Bolt it up, weld it, cut it off.

Anyone of those will suffice though the last is usually the best!

 

I've seen the up pipe heat shield become un-welded on some cars. Only cure is to remove up pipe and reweld.
