Apple,
Scoobessential do the carbon ones (WRS).
Here are their prices: The WRS units retail at £499 per set for the standard units, and £575 for the carbon-fibre effect. Both prices include vat., but excludes shipping (about £10).
Have a look at their website! www.scoobessential.com

I don't think they (the UK300 spec) lights look bad in black. I have seen a small photo of a silver car with them, I am thinking of changing to them myself, have you got any close up photos by any chance ?

The only car I've seen in the flesh is Alpine's UK300 which has colour coded headlights in WR blue.
I've also seen pics of it advertised in some car HI FI mag while waiting at Maximum Impact in Leeds.
I know this does not help to much with what they would look like on a silver car but its a start ! Could try asking some photshop / paintshop experts to try and colour code some to give you an idea

There is an excellent picture of a Silver bugeye with black UK300 lights on the picture of, I think it's called "motion styling" towards the back of maxpower magazine. (Flicked through it in the shops, honest). I think it looks really smart with the silver

apple - Excellent! Thanks
ollyshorey - There are a number of companies selling them: Performance Subaru, DR Motorsport, TSL and Scoobyworld to name a few. Prices seem to range from about £400 to £520.
Hope this helps.

If any of you are going to the Motorshow, the APLINE audio stand has a UK300 Demo Car on the stand with a colour coded set to WR Blue.
Looks OK, mind you I like them black on the UK300 as well!!

word of warning - the wrc lookalike lights are STi fit electrically - not WRX officially although not many dealers seem to know / let on IMHO
They can be fitted as in the piccy above but AFAIK you'd loose height adjustment and still is a bit of a hacking job with the wiring.
I prefer the look of them over the prodrive lights but don't want the fitting grief (on a similar theme, local dealer fitted STi lights to wrx and charged approx 4 hours labour on top )
can't decide over morettes (throwback to classic shape) or prodrive/uk300 lights (don't like glossy finish and don't want to make car like a uk300 copy )
If only someone could sort out the wiring...
this is what I've found out over last couple of days with the HID GB

Apple, how about carbon UK300's, John Griffin (scoobynetter) had a thread some time ago about being able to source them at a reasonable price. Don't know if he still hangs around scoobynet though.
You could take a look on the Vivid Racing website for a pic.

thanks for the info - I'd found the scoobessentials site via the vivid & tri-plus websites but they'd gone home when I tried to phone them this aft
ta for the prices - I like the look of the carbon ones but they're more expensive than the official dealers unless they do SIDC discount
are these the ones that prompted a response from Mike Wood about not being type approved etc? It seems like the UK300 ones are made as OES by Tri-plus and the carbon ones are an aftermarket version on a theme
I've tried finding out about some official subaru WRC quads that take HID and are supposed to be based on the SWRT ones and fitting a std wrx (see Performance Subaru website) but it seems like they might not be materialising I wonder if they've been canned with the my03 appearing...
