Why not have your own Subaru owners day , I think there are enough owners and traders to make it work , I would have a trade stand there , Cheers Ian , www,godspeedbrakes.co.uk
As mentioned above I also thought TRAX was a good day out but was expecting alot more as it's supposed to be the largest show of the year. I also wasn;t expecting to sit in a que of Traffic from 8:20am till nearly 11:00am
Personally as an Ex-RS owner and after attending the RSOC National days at Donnington and Silverstone, I thought they were alot more organised and had a far less Boy Racer 'Citroen/Nova' content. The Trade stands had a lot less TAT for sale.
Why don't the SIDC join forces with the RSOC for their National day and arrange Track time with them....I know Stef is always in attendance at the RSOC Track events.
We could all claim to be Cossie Killers then.......

Scott, you wouldn't have thought that if you went to our National day at Donno this year. The queue was just as bad, and the club stands were a mud bath, the only good thing was the track
Apart from that, I reckon it would be a great idea, but do it at Silverstone not Donno, as everywhere is hard standing - and leave all the bl00dy Saxos at home

Cheers, Nick

I was also @ RSOC Silverstone last year & agree it was a top day out
I think the only problem was that there were too many scoobs on track (15?) & what with the SIDC & Scoobynet all talking track days, the RS'ers have woken up & decided its quite fun themselves
I tried to get a place @ Donnington this year & no chance (
) 'cos it was all booked up well in advance by RS'ers
- change from last year when we had to embarrass them into going on track...
Although I'd love to see a joint party, I think there wouldn't be enough track time for those that want it

Ian.....what a great idea.
Like you say I'm sure there are enough owners that would come along whether for track action or just to show off there latest modification.
And I'm sure that there are some comapnies that would exhibit such as :
Godspeed
Scoobysport
Scoobymania
TSL
ND
Grahame Goode
Powerstation
Power Engineering
BRDevelopments
DRMotorsport
to name but a few
Where were they all at Trax. Grahame Goode are always at the RSOC and Ford Fair along with Power Engineering.
The only one that was there that I could see was ND and they managed to sell me some NF Race Octane Boost, so at least I came away with some goodies.
I think the time is coming for the SIDC to expand from just Track days (although I have nothing against track days).
P.S One of the reasons for going to Trax was to hopefully see a DRMotorsport 22B style spoiler compared to an MY00 or a STI V style.
Unfortunatly no-one on the club stand appeared to have one. So I'm still undecided.

Guys.
The wheels are already in motion for a major club event next year.
I don't think sharing with the RS boys would be of benefit to either club to be honest. The RSOC is big enough on it's own.
It will probably be held at Donington, and will have a number of attractions besides track time, hopefully making it a great day out for all the family.
The SIDC will be the hosts, but it will hopefully attract all Scooby enthusiasts. Other similar car clubs will also be invited to have a stand.
We will also be approaching traders, etc once we have a firm date fixed.
Watch this space.

As usual, the Supra clubs would be up for this. If you need help arranging it then Im available from the Supra side.
That is of course assuming by 'similar clubs' you mean japanese sports car and not just 4WD cars..
