I was going to the Box Hill meet today, with my wife when a trafic police man stepped out in front of me on the main road at the top of Box Hill.

I stopped & was asked where I was going, so I told him & he said it was closed & that I should go home, whilst this was happening other normal cars were being let past.

I spoke to Ian W who was at the meet & he said nothing was happening. by now the wife had the hump and said we should go home which I did.

did anyone else get stopped ?
was PC Plod just stroppy ?
should I have ignored him & continued on ?

You should have ignored the tw@t mate. Half the coppers havent got a clue whats going on most of the time anyway. You should have said no im not going home, im off the meet my friends. You go home OCCIFERRRR!!!!!!! or do some proper work at least.

 

There was loads of street racing outside and that is the reason why they would have stopped you. What time was it?

 

F**king w**kers we were there and it was good we left about 530 ish and it wasnt closed then the coppers were parked up keepin an eye on the street racin

 

This is why police get shot by motorists in the US.

 

I was stopped about 3pm.

I cant afford to push it at the moment with 8 points on my licence, the wife is 7 1/2 months gone as well so when she said just go home it was an order not a request

 

It's the usual police crap. We live in B>Liar's police state.
Trust the Cops as far as you could chuck a car load if 'em.

I was there from 4-5 and didnt see any "street racing" I reckon he was just being over zelous....

A whole bunch of us got there no problems!! You should of went in at the other entrance & told the coppers where to go!!

There were a few cars making good progress up and down, up and down, up and down the road making a good bit of noise not just scoobs but all most every type of jap sports car you can name.

All good fun and no tears
