I think my thermostat is not working correctly, (opening to soon) and want to change it. Where is it located on the ej20 engine? Mine is in a my 94 legacy 2L (not turbo).

i would have thought it was in the same location as the turbo model, down to the lower passenger side at the front of the engine.

look at the lower radiator hose, the thermostat is behind the elbow that connects that hose to the water pump housing. elbow is held on by two bolts.
